This Privacy Policy describes how Brighthammer Inc. (“Brighthammer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with our websites, mobile applications, APIs, integrations, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). It applies to visitors to our websites and to administrators and end users who access the Service on behalf of a business customer (“Customer”).

How this policy works with Customer data

Customer decides what information its personnel and other users submit to the Service, including job notes, photos, files, and similar materials (“Customer Content”). Customer Content may include personal information about Customer’s employees, contractors, or third parties. For much of that information, Customer is the party that determines why and how it is processed, and Brighthammer processes it to provide the Service in accordance with Customer’s instructions and agreement with us.

Separately, Brighthammer collects certain information about Customer accounts, billing, and use of the Service to operate, secure, and improve the Service as described below. This policy explains both types of processing at a high level.

Information we collect

Account and contact information. Names, work email addresses, phone numbers, company name, role, credentials, and similar details you or Customer provide when registering, inviting users, or contacting support.

Billing information. Billing contact details, plan selections, and payment-related information. Payment card transactions are processed by our payment processor; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

Service and device data. Log and usage data such as IP address, device identifiers, browser type, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, diagnostic events, and interactions with the Service.

Cookies and similar technologies. We and our vendors may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies on our websites and within the Service for authentication, security, preferences, and analytics.

On our marketing website and product web application, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors and customers use those surfaces. Google's privacy policy describes how Google processes data: policies.google.com/privacy. We also use the Meta Pixel to measure and improve advertising effectiveness. Customer Content. Information Customer and its users choose to upload or create in the Service, which may include personal information depending on how Customer uses the product.

Communications. Content of emails or in-product messages you send to us, including support requests.

Sources

We collect the information above directly from you or Customer, automatically when you use the Service, and in some cases from vendors who help us operate the Service (for example, fraud prevention or authentication signals).

How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Service
• Process subscriptions and payments and send related notices
• Provide customer support and respond to requests
• Monitor and analyze usage, reliability, and performance, including product analytics
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or technical issues
• Comply with law and enforce our terms and policies
• Communicate about updates, features, and security (where permitted)

How we disclose information

We disclose information to vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, customer support tooling, and security monitoring. We authorize them to use information only as needed for those services. We may update the categories of vendors we use from time to time.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Brighthammer, our users, or others. We may also disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality arrangements.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not share personal information with third parties for their cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, manage Customer accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of data and whether Customer deletes content or closes an account. We may retain certain records where required by law or legitimate business needs, such as billing and security logs.

Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, certain U.S. state laws may grant you rights to access, delete, or correct personal information we hold about you, and to appeal our responses in some cases. These rights can vary by state and may be subject to exceptions. To exercise rights that apply to information Brighthammer holds as a business, contact us using the email below and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with Customer where your information was submitted through a Customer account.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a “limit the use of my sensitive personal information” control under California law.

Children

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing purposes. If you believe we have collected information from a child inappropriately, please contact us.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the “Last updated” date above. Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice as appropriate.
